Go rosy in Bloemfontein this October
The mellow city of Bloemfontein will be blossoming up to its name which means Spring of Flowers when thousands of colourful rose bushes burst into bloom along the city’s streets at this time of year.
Loch Logan Waterfront will also be blooming marvellously when the annual Bloemfontein Rose Festival kicks off. The first festival took place in 1976 and has been a strong feature on Bloem’s event calendar ever since.
Most of the action takes place at the Loch Logan Waterfront including a Champion Rose Competition, 'Miss Rosebud' competition, exhibitions of wide varieties of roses and a bus tour to the winning gardens.
